Description:
When embedding Eventive Everywhere widgets, the checkout flow uses a native Eventive popup, which works great. However, there’s no similar popup for “More Info” about a film.
In the native Eventive site, clicking a film leads to a dedicated detail page. In the embedded widget, the only way to show that detailed view is to link externally to Eventive, which takes the user out of our site.
Problem:
  • Breaks the seamless user experience compared to the checkout popup
  • Requires external navigation for basic film info
  • Makes it harder for users to browse multiple films without leaving the site
Proposed Solution:
Add a native “Film Info” popup option to Eventive Everywhere widgets and/or API. Ideally, it would mirror the film detail layout used in Eventive’s site, but display in a modal overlay, similar to the checkout popup.
Benefits:
  • Keeps users on our site
  • Provides a consistent, native-feeling browsing experience
  • Reduces friction when exploring multiple films
Current Workaround:
We manually add a “More Info” link in our widget integration that points to the Eventive film page in a new tab, but it’s not ideal.
