Offer a sign in as a "delegate" and as the "public". Public access should be geo restricted and industry access should be accessible from all territories.
Delegates would need to request authorisation from the film festival and an "approved request" message would be sent back to them by e-mail with a unique individual password (or code). This code could also act as a password code to watch the films too.

It's here! 🎉 We've added a new pass rule option to "Bypass geographic restrictions". This can be set on a per-pass-bucket or per-event level, and allows passholders to order tickets to an event even if they are not within the geographic restrictions set for the event. Help article & more features in this area coming soon!

Reelworld also expressed a need for this, applied to filmmakers outside of the geographic restriction.

Geoblocking Override Pass

Override passes sound like a great idea, especially for Q&A participants not based here, or other special instances where someone needs to view the film from outside the predetermined area.

We're working on a suite of features for industry/press/etc now! We think we have a plan to make this super-extensible and customizable to support each organization's unique needs.
We'll be adding support for georestriction override as a pass rule, allowing you to seamlessly design specific access patterns for different levels of attendees (imagine a "local press" vs "industry" vs "big wig press", etc., each with different overrides for different screenings/tags/date ranges/etc).
We'll also be building an "approval flow" option.
Stay tuned!

Sounds great

This is so wonderful. So many filmmakers that are taking part and media can't access the geoblocked so extra work on our end sending links to media.
