Currently, there's no way to add a supplemental subtitle/caption track from the admin side, only from the creator hub. As an organization, if we're provided with an external caption file, we would love to be able to apply it to a film that's already in our database.

This functionality is now available! You can click "Manage" on a film's virtual content in order to add caption files. Additionally, we now show an indicator both on the film editor as well as in the films table so you can see at a glance which films have captions added. And finally, we've also added this "Closed captions available" message and icon to the audience-facing watch site, so your audience can know at a glance if captions are available, without you needing to add any custom messaging manually! 🎉

Thanks for adding this, Whitney! Agreed for sure. We are working on ways to ensure content creators can verify/approve the captions since we know accurate captions and total control of presentation of content is sensitive for filmmakers. For now, btw, please feel free to email caption files to team@eventive.org and we can verify and add them. Hope to update with automated options here soon!

Theo Patt: Totally understandable from the filmmaker side of things. An incorrect caption file could be disastrous. Thank you for getting back to me!
